Our Missions

Eagle Rest Mission

Eagles Rest Mission has some of the oldest buildings in the Shongweni Valley. The Coffee Shack was the shed of the original farmhouse that dates back to 1919 and the guesthouse was built in 1922 by the Italian team contracted to build the Shongweni Dam and the railway tunnels.

It was sold to the Van Zyl Family in the 1940’s and operated as the Zig Zag country hotel until it was bought by the House of Prayer in 1995 and dedicated as a Place of Prayer.
